Fall Co-ed Kickball at Lower Woodlands Tuesdays

This week's POTW is without a doubt Sam Bellamio for proving himself in big ways throughout his team's game. Sam, aka "The Mouth", is a master of speech when it comes to spurring his team on to victory. However, Tuesday night Sam never found the need for it. With his big boots and superb defense, Sam showed his physical game is just as good as his mental game. Way to go!

Congratulations Whitney Voigt who put out a stellar performance on both sides of the plate Tuesday evening. While being an offensive threat threading defensive holes like a needle...it was her phenomenal defense that earned her Player of the Week! With a runner on first base, team Whoa Cats put a well placed kick deep into left field. The quick runner got greedy and rounded third thinking he would easily score...it was then that Whitney, on a relay from left, kicked a screaming line drive that would tag the runner just steps before home plate saving the run and killing the rally!!! Congratulations Whitney and to the both the ConSEEDed Ballers! and the Whoa Cats for a game well played!!!

Dirty Pirate Kickers unleashed the fury on Tuesday night with a constant onslaught of big boots and runs. Kicked Last kept it close through the 3rd inning, but the Dirty Pirate Kickers continued to explode with kicks, earning their entire team POTW!

Brian had the best game of his life playing at 3rd base. We think he had 4 pop catches, but I'm pretty sure we just lost count. Great placement for the outs and the best awkward layout, finger clutching catch one could ever hope to see was presented by Brian. I hope someone caught that on tape for the seasons highlight reels! And just to put the icing on the cake, Brian was a consistent base runner contributing 2 RBI's.
