Todd was making serious plays at the pitching mound! He made a crazy out throwing out the girl running to first. Dead on bulls-eye square in the back. There was another play that was worth mentioning. Thinking he was going to make an out, he waited for the ball to roll out of bounds... but he was s.o.l. that ball wasn't going anywhere. It rolled to a stop dead along the line. All the while the girl helped herself to another base! We're all allowed one of those Todd!
In what turned out to be the closest and most competitive game of the night, the Angry Pirates barely squeaked by the Moose-Knuckle Sharpshooters 5-4. Amber Eslinger from the Angry Pirates played stellar defense at 3rd base down the stretch...ahead by 1 run in the 6th, the Moose-Knuckle Sharpshooters were able to put their first two kickers on base. 2 consecutive defensive stops by Amber killed any chance of late rally and the Angry Pirates were able to close out the game with a victory! Congratulations Amber for a great game played!
