Fall Co-ed Kickball at Mountlake Terrace Wednesdays

This weeks player of the week goes to Amanda Smith for her oustanding talent all over the field. Amanda could possibly go the whole season with a perfect kicking average. She has amazing speed on the bases that she uses on "D" as well. She made plent of catches in the field, and an amazing catch at the end of a game to keep her team on top. Great job Amanda!

The defense was outstanding for Thunderballs which helped them notched their first win. The defense from T.J. Tischendorf was outstanding as he was making plays all over the field. He turned in his best play in the fifth inning. TJ was playing in the left center field when he caught the ball, he saw the runner on first trying to go back and tag up. When he hurled the ball back over to first to catch the runner the ball hit the back of runner for a double play to end the inning. If TJ and Thunderballs can keep up that type of defense the sky is the limit. Way to go!

Rickie Richardson defense helped Apple Kickers get their first victory of the season. Rickie held the hot corner like she had played the position her whole life. Quick N' Dirty kept testing Rickie, but she was catching everything in sight. Keep up the good work Rickie and Apple Kickers.

Emily Cassidy is usually known for her great cupcakes, but today she used her speed and kicking to help Shawn Kemp's Firstborn pull out a dramatic come from behind win. Emily's relays to the pitcher while playing catcher helped Shawn Kemp stay in the game, but it was what she did in the seventh inning that earned player of the week honors. Trailing by one in the bottom seventh inning with two outs, Emily bunted and use her speed to beat out the throw which ended up scoring the winning run. Shawn Kemp was able to use that momentum to win there second game and play for the championship. Great job Emily! Good Luck next week!
