This weeks player of the week goes to Ben W. for his clutch hitting with the game on the line. In a game where the lead changed multiple times, Ben took over the lead at the end of the game with a 3 run homer putting his team on top, and relied on his teams defense at the top-half of the last inning. With the final score ending 15 to 13, it was Ben's big hit that made the difference in a tough battle with two great teams! Great job Ben.

Defensive Dynamo
This weeks honors go to the squad of Family Affair. Family Affiar played in the tightest and the most exciting game of the day against a great opponent Jillian's Jelly Snakes. With final score ending 7 to 2, both defenses played outstanding and excuted with very few errors. It was Family Affair who came out on top by only allowing 2 runs, and as a team everyone played their position with excellence. Len M. of Family Affair also pitched 6 scoreless innings with his outstanding defense behind him, and helped put a "W" into the books. Great job to both teams for their solid "D", but Family Affair gets this weeks honors as the Team of the week!

This weeks player of the week goes to Cameron B. for his all around awesomness. Cameron helped his team early on with great defense gloving tough throws fired his way, and hits that were in his zip-code. Cameron was also responsible for knocking in key runs with his 2 homeruns that helped pad his teams eventual winning score. With a final of 18 to 7, Cameron held the opponent to a single didget tally, and gave his team a big "W". Great game Cameron.

This weeks player of the week goes to Meg Johnston for her elite skills and toughness. Meg hit in multiple runs early in the game with some big hits, and great base running. Meg also directs traffic from her catching position, and makes any play that comes her way. Meg was her teams late game inspiration when she went down with a damaged ankle from hustling into 2nd base, and had to leave the game early. Meg leaves it all out on the field and with her grit and performance is this weeks player of the week! Get healthy Meg!

Carrie Numata is this week's honored player. In their playoff game agains Too Drunk to Score, Carrie pitched all seven innings. On top of that Carrie didn't allow a run as she tossed a shutout to carry the Empty Pitchers to the championship game next week. Hopefully Carrie will be able to rest up and return to the mound for the Pitchers in the big showdown. As of this week, Carrie came up huge tossing strike after strike as her defense made great plays behind her. Nice work Carrie!
