In an amazing first season with Underdog the Honey Nut Ichiro's won the championship of their division. In a tightly fought battle with Contract Year the Ichiro's, who battled in honor of the recently traded Seattle Mariner, won 9-8. Relying on the defense that carried them throughout the regular season the Ichiro's were able to hold off multiple rally attempts by Contract Year. The Ichiro's also wanted to dedicate this victory to Coach Dan, who was the fearless leader, and often closer, for the Ichiro's this summer. Nice work Honey Nut Ichiro's!
This weeks player of the week goes to Kelly G. and her stellar hitting. Kelly lead all hitters during her game getting on everytime with big hits. Kelly not only knocked the hell out of the ball, she ran the bases with serious speed. With her hits and base running the runs poured in for Honey Nut Ichiro's and they left the field with a big win. Great Game Kelly, and the rest of the Nuts on your team.
