Dinks All Around finished off the regular season with a 3-3 record capturing the 4th seed in the playoffs. It was a tough road for Dinks All Around, but they hit their stride at the perfect moment. In the first round they went up against BYLAH 2.0 but put them down in two straight sets. With that win, it pushed Dinks All Around to the next round against Indy #23 and won in two sets again. Dinks All Around were now in the championship match against a dominate Sets on the Beach.
In the beginning Sets on the Beach came out strong, showing their dominance. But it wasn't long until Dinks All Around stepped it right up with their amazing passing abilities. Their ability to pass was unmatched all season long and Dinks All Around decided to run with their strength. Instead of forcing spikes, Dinks All Around let the game come naturally to them. They decided to let Sets on the Beach dictate their own fate and proved to be the right choice. Their collective passing was enough to overcome the strong attacks and beat Sets on the Beach 21-13 in the first set.
The second set was more of the same plan, but now showed their individual skill sets. Helen was able to dig all the spikes that came her way. Her passing ability was unmatched and proved to be the best on the court that day. Stephanie was equally great at digging the ball, she even had an amazing highlight where she ran cross court to dig a ball with one arm to gain a point. That play brought all the momentum to Dinks All Around. Grant had one of the quickest hands this league has ever seen. No matter how fast the spike was, Grant's hands were always there to pop the ball right back up. Geoff was phenomenal at the net, helping his team with the opposing spikes by getting a hand on all the balls he could. This was an excellent display from Dinks All Around and captured a 21-16 victory that led to the championship.
Its been a long road coming but you all finally did it! Great job Dinks All Around.

Victorious Secret stumbled out of the gate to start the season, losing their first two games. After those losses, Victorious Secret didn't lose again until their final game of the season against Cold Turkeys. After going 3-3 in the regular season, Victorious Secret took the #3 seed to the playoffs to face off against the #2 seed Shimmy Goats.
Victorious Secret beat The Shimmy Goats 2-0 in the semi-finals to move onto the championship against the Cold Turkeys who they lost to in the last game of the regular season. The Cold Turkeys were hot coming into the championship game with two giants who dominate the net and passers that can cover everything on the court. Victorious Secret had their work cut out for them.
The first set was a lot of back and forth action with either team willing to give up a lead. Matt was working his tail off to try and slow down the two spikers to give his team a chance. Matt did an awesome job on making it tough for the opposition by his endless hustle at the net. Kayla and Mary were unbelievable covering the court. It was a tough challenge but their determination paid off as they were able to get just enough digs to put a wrench in Cold Turkey's effort. Victorious Secret squeaked by with a 21-19 victory in the first set.
Victorious Secret took the momentum from the first set right into the second set and came out strong. Robert showed the athleticism that got his team to the championship by dominating the net for stretches. Robert was able to spike the ball at will and used his intellect to dink the balls over the opposing blockers at the net. Matt came right back in with the same hustle he had from the first set but was a complete wall at the net. Nothing could get through his out-stretched arms. Whatever got through the walls of Robert and Matt, Mary was always there to back them up. She was a digging champ, easily popping the ball back up to the setter. Kayla was an outstanding passer all game long and never wavered the whole night. Victorious Secret came together and reached their potential which was more than enough to win the championship. They won 21-15 that led to the ultimate prize for the Underdog Championship.
Great job Victorious Secret! You were all amazing all season long and deserved this championship. Now let's repeat this next season!
