POTW: Dean Sherry
Supa F.U.P.A.s
Dean Sherry of the Supa F.U.P.A.s saved the game for his team in the first week of the Sunday Gentleman's flag football Memorial league as they defeated last season's champs, the First Round Letdowns. Dean had one running touchdown and two interceptions. His last interception was on the First Round Letdown's final drive to try and regain the lead, and with this change of possession Dean sealed the game for the Supa F.U.P.A.s. The F.U.P.A.s got off to a great start on the season and anticipate the rest of the summer league!

POTW: Jeremiah Fulford-Foster
Jacked up
With thoughts of inspiring his team to win, Jeremiah Fulford-Foster played on one good leg to lead his team to victory this week. Not only did he play hurt but he contributed to the cause by hauling in two touchdown passes from quaterback Collin Sullivan, who also had a great game and deserves honorable mention. Jeremiah, however, was the story. The referees even had to admire how he sucked it up and ran down the field on one bad wheel. Excellent work Jeremiah. I hope next week someone as dedicated to the sport brings the same spirit, intensity and stones!

POTW: Derrick Russel
Jacked up
In this Sunday's Gentleman's flag football league at Memorial Stadium Derrick Russel was the go-to man for Jacked Up in their victory over Smokin' Aces. No matter who was playing defense, Derrick was able to stay a step ahead and come through big time for Jacked Up. He finished the game with 3 touchdowns and 1 interception, along with several long yardage catches. Derrick's ability to fluster the defense of the Smokin' Aces opened up opportunities for his teammates as well and helped them win the game. Good job Derrick!

PLAYOFFS
HEAVY HITTERS forfeited to Supa F.U.P.A.s.
POTW: Rob Wagner
Lawn Wranglers
It was quite a wild Sunday night for the Lawn Wranglers. In their first game, it seemed like they were taken to the brink of exhaustion by the Swashbucklers. But after a thrilling 53-47 double-overtime victory, they cruised to a surprising 39-14 victory over The Franchise, who was undefeated prior to this week. Leading the way throughout was Rob Wagner. While Rob is getting up there in years, he still knows what it takes to get the job done. While Rob made his share of tackles on defense, it was his poise at the quarterback position that made the difference in the Lawn Wranglers advancing in the first two rounds of the playoffs.

Just the tip
This week in the Sunday Gentleman's flag football league at Seattle Center Sundays Tony Malean of Just the Tip had the momentum changing play in his teams championship victory over God's Gift 34-31.
