Fall Co-ed Dodgeball at Loyal Heights Thursdays

In the final game against "Freeballin", Allison Telfer had a one on one standoff against one of the "freeballin" players. Each player threw, dodged, and threw again but both players were determined to take the win for their team. In the end, Allison caught a fastball thrown directly at her. She won the game for her team, "DodgeBAALLINN". Nice work Allison!

Bryan Pomper had an excellent week of games. Bryan has a laid back attitude which may be misinterpreted as someone who has little interest in the game. However, Bryan displayed a huge and accurate cannon this week as he constantly threw opposing players out from a long distance. His teammates deserve some credit as they rushed to the center court and hurled the ball his way. He then threw several accurate throws to pluck off players trying to get back to their back line and teammates. Bryan was a silent but deadly killer this week and also a great sport when he was eliminated from play (which the referees appreciate). Great job Bryan! Let's see who steps up the play next week. We'll be watching.

Chad displayed some acrobatic skills to earn player of the week. He was teammate the others rallied around. He dodged so many balls and was consistently the last player to go out after what seemed like a marathon dodge ball match. Great Job Chad.

There are two Players of the Week, however, I can only put one in on the official slot. I will give respect to the other dodge ball POTW. First, however, Shawn had remarkable matches this week against his opponents. He was a dodging machine and displayed acrobatic moves/jumps that rivaled Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon moves! He was consistently the last dodgeballer on his team and tried repeatedly to rally his team to victory. Unfortunately, it did not go his way this week however, his sportsmanship, teamwork and, above all, his effort earned him player of the Week Honors.

My second Baller comes from dodgeBAALINN!!! Lan Do was a player that led his team to victory in the Championship match against Sack Attack this week. He had a series of catches, about 3 in a row, that helped get his teammates back into the game and helped save the season which got them to the Championship overtime match. All season he has been a sparkplug for the dodgeBAALINN team and his cat like reflexes paid off this week.

I think every player of the Game did really well and for those who I have overlooked this week and season, my apologies to you. Once again, the honor has been mine. I hope to see more unbelievable play from teams next year. Thank you for a great season POTW.
