Late Night Winter Dodgeball at Loyal Heights Thursdays

New season: Similar results. Yes, this means that Sex Panther's Derek Muncy is once again your player of the week. Winter late night started off with a bang and plenty of potential Espies...however, in the end it was Derek's dominating play in the overmatched game vs It's not an STD...it's a Love Bug. In what could be considered the fasted dodgeball in the game's history (35 seconds is pushing it), Derek managed to eliminate 4 players in 4 seconds with a catch, kill, catch, and a ONE HANDED SHOE-STRING CATCH. This series of eliminations went so fast, that Derek's own teammates were confused whether they were still on the court or not. Derek earned a WOW, and congrats on earning this week's Player of the Week!!!

Player of the week goes to Chad McFadden for beating out Tyler Kaufman of team Clam Slammers in a mono-i-mono matchup the would decide the nights match. Tied 3 to 3 going into the final game of the match you could feel the pressure each team put on themselves to come out the victor. Sex Panther jumped out to an early lead on to relinquish it to the Clam Slammers in a surprisingly quick manner. It was down to Chad McFadden and Tyler Kaufman. The winner would be the hero. After a plethora of amazing ducks and dives by both players, it was Chad who finally laid the final blow tagging Tyler in the legs as he leaped throw the air. Congrats to both players for a VERY entertaining matchup, and to Chad McFadden for earning this week's player of the week!!!

Player of the week for Feb 19th goes to Christy Vien of team Gotta Catch 'Em All. Known for their quickness and power, Gotta Catch 'Em All found themselves falling quickly behind in the first game with a one vs six matchup! The lone remaining player: Christy Vien. Christy could have easily given up against a very strong Baller's team...instead, Christy caught a ball bringing in teammate Kate "Smalls" Lawson. Now at two vs five, Christy and Smalls one by one picked off the elusive Ballers to take the first game of the match. Player of the Week goes to Christy Vien for stepping up to the challenge when the odds were against her! Congratulations!!!

Nick earned player of the week honors by giving us a fine display of the 5Ds this week. His energy was unmatchable as well. He was all over the place and I heard opponents saying, 'damn, we need to get this guy out!' He helped his team to the finals by dodging plenty of balls and eliminating others with ease. There were some honorable mentions such as Ben Schafer with his sniper like kill skills, Becky Quay of the Annual Check ups was constantly battling till the end on her courts. Garrett Lowell of the Clam Slammers was also a worth candidate for PTOW. For those I didn't mention I apologize as there were many worthy people. Nick just had something special this week to get ahead of the rest. Great job Nick!
