All games leading up to this were excellent but this game for the whole enchilada was a notch above the rest of the playoffs. Leading up to the championship match, Team Dodgeball No 1 marched to the championship game on the strong defense of Greg Capasso over Milli-Maniacs. Likewise, Jimmy's Big Afro marched to the finals with a hard fought contest with Clam Slammers with great play from Garrett Lowell. This set the stage for a close and exciting championship game. Both teams were great at the five Ds and the games went back and forth. The matches were so close, we had to go to overtime. That's were Jimmy's Big Afro stepped up their intensity and came away with the victory. It was an exciting game to ref, watch and I heard spectators saying, "That was a great game!" Unfortunately, it won't be on Sportscenter this week but it should have been!
