This weeks player of the week goes to liam Roberts who did it all in his teams victory in the playoffs. Liam knocked in lots of runs, bulk of them came in on his Grand-slam. He also made outstanding catches in the field to help keep the opponents score to a minimum. This honor was sealed though with his great dodging/dancing skills in the base-path witch didn't quite work, but showed that he has moves like Shakira!
Matt had a great game despite constant harassment from the umpire. Matt made several catches while drifting into the outfield from his shortstop position. Some catches were unbelieveable. The umpire encouraged him to let others get involved but the 'human vaccum' just kept gobbling up kickballs all night long! Oh by the way, he's a great kicker too! His defense outshadowed his offensive skills tonight however! Great job!
Our honorable mentions tonight were from Mike's Hard Ballers. Gina Hatch made her first catch tonight and gave us a celebration to write home about! Nate Eisele had an awesome night corraling kickballs from the pitcher's position. He had a great kick to first base to deny Das Boot a well deserved run! Great job you two. However, Matt was the star tonight... He took a little heat from the ump and still played his game! Great job all of you! Everyone else let's see you 'Step your game up!' next week!
Liam had 2 amazing catches including a jumping catch on a line drive that looked like a sure base hit. Great job Liam.
