In the second game of the Final Four of the Lower Woodlands playoffs, My Salsa squared off against the 1 seed, Pitches Be Trippn. Pitches came out of the gate with rock solid defense lead by Ashley Salazar at 3rd, who took her hot corner defense and turned it into a hot bat coming up with 2 triples in the 24-9 victory and sending them into the championship game where No Pants Party, the 2 seed, was ready and waiting. Pitches roared our to a 12 to 5 lead in the 3 and added a few in the 5th to take a 15 to 5 lead going into the 6th. In the 6th, No Pants Party opened the flood gates for 7 runs and then held Pitches to 0 in the bottom of the 6th, making the score 15-12 going into the last inning. No Pants rallied once again getting the tying run to third with one out, but then the Pitches D shut the door and held on for a 15-14 win. Congrats to both teams on a great championship game and to all the teams for an awesome season. See you all next season and way to go Pitches be Trippin'!

Heading into the playoffs we are looking to have one of the most talented and exceptional collection of softball teams that we have ever had under one roof battling it out for a league championship. The league is tough, the division itself is tougher and only reserved for the big dogs of Underdog Softball. With that being said, there is one team year in and year out who always find themselves in the mix for a league title. They have been together quite a while and have tasted a few league championships which means that they are always on the hunt for another one. PBT is a rare and raw mix of speed, power, delicious pitching and good decision making. They have played in the big games and know what it takes to get that title. When their bats get hot it's gonna be a very long night for any opposing team. They can hang 30 on you in a jiffy and hold you to less than 10 runs with some very delicious pitching and defense. It's always a pleasure watching this team play and we wish them luck during the up coming playoffs.
Ashely Salazar is this week's player of the week! Oh boy did she deserve it even with just her fielding considered! At third base, "Hoover" Salazar sucked up everything that was hit at her, or even away from her! Into the fence, soaring high above her head, it doesn't matter, she came down with it. From behind the plate, she was able to hit 3 for 4 and she was oh so close to clearing the ten foot wall in left field! For outstanding fielding and amazing hitting, congratulations Ashley!
