Hands down the player of the week goes to Jeff Edwards. No only did he arrive slightly late and run on to the mound and strike out one of the first batters he faced without any warm ups, but he was on the receiving end of two very hard hit balls up the middle. The first was a sharp liner off his belly and the second off his wrist. Both times he shook it right off and kept on pitching with a smile on his face. Way to take one, I mean 2, for the team, Jeff!
NGPSB is starting to look like a softball team destined for the playoffs. Wednesday night's walk off victory agains Getty Images proved that this team will fight until the last pitch. Their a bunch of scrappy softball players who play with reckless abandonment and they just have fun. Down by a run going into the bottom half of the 7th innng, in a nail biter of a game, Jeff steps into the batter's box and then it happened. On the very first delicious pitch he sees he connects with a lazer shot over the 250 foot mark. Game over, good night, drive safe and we will see you next week. Great game Jeff and great win NGPSB.
