This was an intense game that went back and forth. At first it seemed that the Manhandlers had the game well in hand by going up 4 runs in the first. But then in the top of the fifth, Sweat Drops Down my Kickballs, brought it back and took the lead to make it 6-4. In response our player of the week, Andrew Donaldson, kicked a three run homer to put them up 7-6. They added a few more to runs to make it 9-6. The Manhandlers then proceeded into the 7th inning with great confidence to shut there opponents down. They gave up one run to make it 9-7 but after the score they went three up, three down. It was an amazing game!
Andrew came to the field with one thing in mind and that was, championship. And he got exactly that. With two homeruns and multiple catches in the outfield he was a big part of this championship squad. He is also the most positive talking players I have ever seen at Underdog. He holds true to the spirit of the game. Excellent play and awesome sportsmanship.
Greg was what every captain should aspire to be in this weeks very tight game. He did everything in his power to bring his team back from a late game deficit to win. He made several key kicks that bring in some much needed runs. Also his defense at the pitching position was superb. He made a clutch catch and throw to first for a double play that ended the game and stomped any hope of the opposing team's chances of a comeback.
