In the Mens championship game it was the turtle's Drawers who came out on top. Turtle's Drawers were one of the leagues elites with a one loss season, but that did not phase AIM Consulting who came to the field with a hot offense and solid wins in the playoffs. The Turtle's got out to a quick start scoring with their deep passing game, then played solid defense with a solid pass rushing scheme that threw off AIM's offense. With the final score ending 52 to 21 AIM couldn't get traction, and the Turtle's built on the early lead they established and were able to coast in the second half. Great game to both teams and great seasons!
Once again Britt C. earns the honors of player of the week. Britt helped his team win the BIG game with his contributions on defense. Britt created havoc for the opposing QB with his relentless pursuit, racking up 3 sacks as well as a safety. Great job Britt on a great season!
This weeks player of the week goes to Corey K. and his outstanding offensive output in a high scoring game. With final score ending 42 to 39, Corey's 4 TD's were the deciding factor in his team victory. Great game Corey!
While his team's name continues to change, the results are often the same. On Tuesday Night, Britt Corra led Turtle's Drawers to an impressive 43-12. Corra led the way by making a key interception that changed the complexion of a close game, late in the first half, and he also chipped in three touchdowns for good measure.
Turtle's Drawers had a happy day on Tuesday. Specifically, Britt Corra. It was Britt's birthday on Tuesday, and he celebrated by scoring the game winning touchdown in a 42-36 victory over a game bunch from AIM Consulting. In a game where neither team could separate themselves from the other, it seemed as though the team with the ball last was going to win. As it turned out, time was the only thing that stopped AIM consulting. On the final play of the game, there was a flag pull stopping them at the one yard line. The difference between these teams is razor sharp, and you have to credit Britt for making the biggest play of the game, by scoring the game winning touchdown.
