It was an epic championship game as Lawn Wranglers edged Malicious 44-42. It was a shootout from the beginning as Malicious quickly jumped out to an 8-0 lead, before Lawn Wranglers, with highlight reel touchdowns from Chris Grady and Morgan Hasegawa, went on a 28-14 run to finish the first half with the lead. But Malicious kept up with the pace from there, and managed to tie the score at 36 following a huge interception. But after the Lawn Wranglers answered with 8 points on their next drive, Malicious came up short on their two point attempt, leaving them down 44-42. It appeared Lawn Wranglers was going to salt the game away, but Malicious did manage one more defensive stand with 15 seconds left, but it was too little too late as the a Hail Mary pass to from Reth Bon to Justin Gaston could not be completed. And while the Championship Game had it's share of thrills, in the end, the total sum meant once again that the Lawn Wranglers are Champions. Congrats to the winners!
The Lawn Wranglers are once again champions, thanks in large part to Chris Grady. The Proud Papa led the way on Sunday, scoring on an amazing length of the field touchdown catch in which Chris did most of the work after the catch. And while Grady wasn't at his usual Pass Rushing spot, he made his presence felt as a safety on defense.
