After falling short last season Chico's made a vow to return to the championship game no matter what it took. I saw the look on their faces last season after going undefeated during the regular season and getting knocked off by nemesis PB Army. They took their lumps, held their heads high and went into the off season looking to make some moves in free agency. Well, they made it back to the championship game as promised and this time they were upgraded, ready for a war and looking for some payback against their nemesis PB Army. There isn't really much to be said about the outcome of the game other than the fact that this was not really a game. Chico's just had waaaay too much firepower and a defensive stiniginess that you only see from the leagues very best teams. They definitely had payback on their minds. PB Army knew they were in for a fight early on and midway through the fourth that became quite evident after going down by sixteen runs. You could hear the air being let out of their tires. Hats off to PB Army but this year Chico's was not to be denied come hell or high water. Congratulations to Chico's for their second league title and we look forward to seeing you guys take the field again in the summer. Could this be a dynasty in the making? We shall see.

Evan S earns this week's Player of the Week award for crushing 2 mammoth bombs deeeeeep into the trees at Northacres, leading his Chico's Bail Bonds team to a tight 14-13 victory over their rival, PB Army. Chico's got out to an early 10-2 lead, thanks in part to Evan's offensive prowess, sending them deep in the 3rd and 6th inning. What a game!
Spring Softball in Seattle at Northacres went exactly as you would expect, a combination of rain, mud and fun. While everyone was busy knocking the rust off of their swings, the pitching of Chico's Bail Bonds' own Trey Price was in mid-season form. Trey only allowed 3 earned runs over 6 innings. He also had a diving tag-out at home plate where he sacrificed his body to end a rally attempt. Congratulations to Trey Price, Player Of The Week!
