Bottom of the 7th, down 2 runs, 2 runners on base, 2 outs. That was the dream scenario that was setup for Zach to be the hero. Some would wilt under the pressure, but not Zach. He got behind the ball and booted a shot over the outfielder's head. It would take a perfect relay throw to nail Zach at the plate. And the defense almost pulled it off, pegging Zach one step too late. After he crossed home, the Blue Ballz dugout erupted as they pulled off the phenomenal comeback victory in thrilling fashion!
No opening day jitters for Amber. She came out as a force to be reckoned with. Her performance at the plate, with a couple of key hits, could of won the Player of the Week award alone. But Amber's defense at second base put her head and shoulders above the rest this week. Making put out after put out and even turning a key double play that closed out the opponent made Amber a lock for the award this week. Great job Amber!
